There were zombies, naked green winged women and hunched little beasts running amok. We didn't know it at the time but apparently these were not Age of Conan Gold game players, rather "pets" owned or summoned by Age of Conan Gold game players. Upgrading to level 20 and above gives you the power to have demon pets. A lot of them by the look of it.

Our Age of Conan Gold game character was once a slave pulling oars on a ship. Said vessel proves to be less than sea worthy and - after a savage storm - is ripped apart leaving us to the whims of the salty sea.
